Britax Child Safety has recalled more than 71,000 infant car seats because the carrying handles break. Affected models include: B-Safe 35, B-Safe 35 Elite and B-Safe 35 Travel System made from October 1, 2014 to July 1, 2015.

Tent Catches Fire

Early Friday morning a fire was reported outside Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa. Students have been lined up and camping outside Hilton to secure seats to the Iowa State basketball game against Kansas. Authorities said a propane heater was blamed as the cause of the fire, causing an estimated $1,100 in damage.

Snowmobile Accident Kills One

A Louisiana man was killed Saturday morning in a snowmobile accident in western Iowa. The man struck an irrigation pivot as he tried to cut across a farm field.

Driver dies in Clermont

A deadly crash was reported in Clermont on Sunday evening. The man was driving with a five-year-old passenger when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a building.

One dies in Johnson County crash

One person has died following a crash in Johnson County on Sunday. A car was traveling eastbound in the third lane of I-80 when it was rear-ended pushing the car out of its lane.
