Car accident fatalities in Iowa

Three people were killed and seven injured in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 30 last Thursday.

• The Iowa State Patrol crash report states the driver of a minivan, heading westbound, lost control due to ice on the highway.
• A car, headed eastbound, hit the minivan causing it to roll;
• Another car hit the minivan as it was rolling, as an SUV then hit the second vehicle.

Another fatal highway crash was reported last Thursday morning. The crash occurred northbound on Highway 63 when the car exited the highway, hit a bridge pillar and caught fire.

Overnight fire kills one

One person has died and another was injured in an overnight fire in Knoxville on Sunday. The cause of the fire has not yet been reported.
