Protect Your Kids From Defective Toys

During the holidays your kids (or someone’s children) probably received many toys. Toys can provide kids hours of fun and entertainment, but have you thought about the possible risks? There are many toys that may present risks, and unfortunately, many parents are unaware of the recalls or dangers until it’s too late.

Despite efforts to stop dangerous toys from reaching the market, children still die each year from incidents involving their toys. To avoid injuries, or even death, we urge you to keep up-to-date with the latest recalls by visiting www.cpsc.gov. The latest recalls include:

  • Nap Nanny® recliners — the baby recliners contain defects in the design, warnings and instructions, which pose substantial risk of injury and death to infants.
  • Wilier Triestina bicycle — these bikes pose risks to individuals due to the bicycle’s fork’s steerer tube, which can break while in use.

These are just a couple products that are listed on the recall list. To make sure your child stays safe with their new toys, remember to stay up-to-date on recalls.
