Shortly after 9 p.m. Monday night, officials were called to 40th Place and Hickman Road, where the woman was struck by the van. She was taken to the hospital and later died from her injuries.

Officials are still investigating the accident, and say excessive speed and alcohol are not a factor. Officials are also looking into whether a street light that was out played a role in the accident.
