Graco Carseat Recall

Graco has recalled nearly 3.8 million car safety seats due a buckling issue. The recall covers 11 of its 18 models made from 2009 through 2013 by Graco.

The recall models include these toddler convertible car seats: the Cozy Cline, Comfort Sport, Classic Ride 50, My Ride 65, My Ride 65 with Safety Surround, My Ride 70, Size4Me 70, My Size 70, Head Wise 70 and Smart Seat; and the following harnessed booster seats: Nautilus 3-in-1, Nautilus Elite and Argos.

The issue: the red release button in the center of the harness can become difficult to unlatch, or can become stuck. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warned that the problem could make it “difficult to remove the child from the restraint, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a vehicle crash, fire or other emergency.”

Affected customers can obtain a replacement buckle by calling 800-345-4109 or emailing [email protected].
